Outdoor - Cleaning Concrete Paving Stones

More Articles
Required Tools: hammer, chisel, patio cleaning acid, wire brush
  • First remove any hard debris, such as over spilled concrete or brick mortar, with a hammer and chisel. Most you will be able to remove by banging on top with a hammer to break up and loosen the debris. However more stubborn pieces will need the use of a chisel to work it away from the slab. Be careful not to chisel into the slab itself.
  • To remove the stain that remains, use a brick or patio cleaning acid. Make sure you wear protective clothing, mask and goggles and follow all manufacturers’ instructions on the product you use. For stubborn stains you may need to use a wire brush to remove fully.
